মৌলভীবাজারে প্যানেল চেয়ারম্যানের বিরুদ্ধে অর্থ আত্মসাতের অভিযোগ

মৌলভীবাজারের রাজনগর উপজেলার টেংরা ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের (ইউপি) প্যানেল চেয়ারম্যান-২ রাম দুলারী নুনিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে সরকারি অর্থ আত্মসাতের অভিযোগ উঠেছে। এ ঘটনায় তিন সদস্যের তদন্ত কমিটি গঠন করেছেন ভারপ্রাপ্ত উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) ফাতেমা তুজ জোহরা।

অভিযোগে বলা হয়, ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান মো. টিপু খান গত বছরের ১০ জুন বিদেশে যাওয়ার পর দীর্ঘসময় অনুপস্থিত থাকেন। তার অনুপস্থিতির সুযোগে রাম দুলারী নুনিয়া কোনো বৈধ সভা ছাড়াই নিজেকে ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান ঘোষণা করে সরকারি প্রকল্পের অর্থ ছাড় ও উত্তোলন করেন। এতে লাখ লাখ টাকা আত্মসাৎ করা হয়েছে বলে দাবি করেন ইউপি সদস্য মো. মতিন মিয়া, মো. মন্নান খান, মো. শানুর মিয়া, মো. আব্দুল আজিজ, বাবুল পাশী, মশাহীদ মিয়া ও নারী সদস্য আমিরুন বেগম।

তবে অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করে প্যানেল চেয়ারম্যান-২ রাম দুলারী নুনিয়া বলেন, আমার বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র করে মিথ্যা অভিযোগ তোলা হয়েছে। আমি কোনো অনিয়ম করিনি।

এ বিষয়ে ভারপ্রাপ্ত ইউএনও ফাতেমা তুজ জোহরা বলেন, অভিযোগের প্রেক্ষিতে তিন সদস্যের তদন্ত কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে। তদন্ত প্রতিবেদন পাওয়ার পর প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।

Embezzlement Allegation Against Panel Chairman in Moulvibazar

A three-member investigation committee has been formed to look into allegations of embezzlement of government funds against Ram Dulari Nuniya, Panel Chairman-2 of Tengra Union Parishad under Rajnagar Upazila in Moulvibazar district. The committee was constituted by Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Fatema Tuz Zohra.

According to the complaint, Union Parishad Chairman Md. Tipu Khan left the country on June 10 last year and remained absent for an extended period. Taking advantage of his absence, Ram Dulari Nuniya allegedly declared herself Acting Chairman without holding any official meeting and proceeded to approve and withdraw funds from government projects.

The complainants — UP members Md. Matin Mia, Md. Mannan Khan, Md. Shanur Mia, Md. Abdul Aziz, Babul Pashi, Moshahid Mia, and female member Amirun Begum — claim that hundreds of thousands of taka have been misappropriated in this manner.

However, Panel Chairman-2 Ram Dulari Nuniya has denied the allegations, saying,

“These accusations are part of a conspiracy against me. I have committed no irregularities.”

In response, Acting UNO Fatema Tuz Zohra confirmed,

“A three-member investigation committee has been formed following the complaint. Necessary actions will be taken once the probe report is received.”
